Provision mapping software

Provision mapping software that shows what support really costs — and what it achieves

Plan support with hours, costs and funding sources, link every intervention to the outcome it serves, and place provision on the timetable so it actually happens.

What is a provision map?

A provision map records the additional support a school provides for pupils with SEND: what it is, who receives it, how often, who delivers it and what it costs. Done well, it shows leaders and governors where resources go and whether they make a difference.

How ASEND360 handles provision

  • Hours, cost and funding recorded for each piece of support, with totals that are always up to date.
  • Linked to outcomes: every intervention is tied to the EHCP outcome or target it serves.
  • On the timetable: therapy and intervention sessions are placed in the provision timetable, with clash checks for staff, rooms and pupils.
  • Intervention records and referrals show what was actually delivered.
  • Top-up funding recorded against the provision it pays for.

Reporting for leaders and governors

A whole-school provision report shows hours and notional spend across the school, and the provision summary appears in each pupil’s annual review automatically.

Questions schools ask

Is a provision map a legal requirement?

Provision mapping isn’t a statutory document, but schools must be able to show the support they provide for pupils with SEND and how it meets their needs. A provision map is the most common way to do this.

Can we use our own interventions?

Yes. You set up the interventions your school runs, with their costs and staffing, and assign them to pupils.
