SEND management software

SEND management software for UK schools

ASEND360 brings everything about a young person with SEND into one record — assessment, plans, EHCP outcomes, provision, behaviour, safeguarding and health — so the whole team works from the same picture and nothing is typed twice.

What is SEND management software?

SEND management software is the system a school uses to identify, plan for, support and review pupils with special educational needs and disabilities. It replaces the mix of spreadsheets, Word documents and separate tools that many SENCOs still juggle, and gives leaders a reliable view of need, provision and progress across the school.

Good SEND software follows the graduated approach in the SEND Code of Practice — assess, plan, do, review — and keeps each stage connected, so evidence gathered in one place shows up wherever it is needed.

What ASEND360 covers

ASEND360 Core was built around SEND. It includes the SEND register, EHCP Tracker, Individual Learning Plans, annual reviews, EHC needs assessment portfolios, provision maps, intervention records, exam access arrangements, progressive assessment frameworks across the four broad areas of need, the Engagement Model, behaviour and restrictive intervention recording, safeguarding, health and medical records and the Family Hub for co-production with parents and carers.

ASEND360 Plus adds the whole-school tools that SEND leaders depend on: monitoring and evaluation, the school development plan, appraisal, the Single Central Record, Pupil Premium and governance reporting. Both are included for every school.

What to look for when choosing SEND software

  • One record per pupil. Plans, assessment, provision and incidents should feed each other, not live in separate tools.
  • EHCP outcomes at the centre. Progress against outcomes should calculate from the plan, not be re-typed for every review.
  • Small-step assessment. Pupils with complex needs need frameworks that recognise progress in small steps, including the Engagement Model.
  • UK data protection. SEND records include health and safeguarding information, so look for UK hosting, role-based access and a full audit trail.
  • Clear, fair pricing. Check whether modules, logins or SEND pupil numbers cost extra.

Built by people who’ve done the job

ASEND360 was designed by a serving special school headteacher, around the reality of a school day: limited time, complex needs and high accountability. There is no AI built in — plans, reports and reviews are written by the professionals who know the child.

Questions schools ask

Is ASEND360 suitable for special schools and mainstream schools?

Yes. ASEND360 was built in a special school and works for special schools, resourced provisions, alternative provision and mainstream primary and secondary schools.

Does ASEND360 replace our MIS?

No. ASEND360 works alongside your MIS. It connects to it through Wonde, including writeback where you need it, so pupil and staff records stay in sync.

How much does SEND management software cost?

ASEND360 costs from £1,795 a year including your first 50 pupils. The rate per pupil falls as schools get bigger, and no school pays more than £4,495 a year (2026/27, excluding VAT). Every Core and Plus module is included.

Where is our data stored?

In the UK. Each school’s data is isolated from every other school’s, access is controlled by role, and changes and record views are logged.
